BOOKS (2018)
Labour—Consumption—Worship. Books is a stage performance with and about bodies and books. In collaboration with 4 performers and 500 books, director Patrick Blenkarn blends durational performance with a theatre of images in an attempt to crack open our cultural devotion to books. Completely non-verbal, Books creates a space for reading the body and the book as intertwined in a long and layered history.
