TOWN CINEMA IN 8 SCENES (2014)
created by Patrick Blenkarn
Town Cinema in 8 Scenes is an installation project built around the small town of Wolfville, in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. It consists of 8 wooden frames that, when visited, construct an outdoor cinema experience for the viewer. Each frame draws the spectator’s eye to various parts of the town and frames the spectator’s view in different ways: linguistically/conceptually through a scene title imposing narrative on bystanders and optically/visually through the wooden frame.
